On Wednesday 4th October, 60 pupils from Iceni Academy, Thetford Academy and Attleborough Academy were invited to a Wellbeing Day at High Lodge, Thetford Forest.
Pupils who had joined the school in September or in 2nd year of high school were chosen as a cohort of young people who are still integrating into a secondary school environment.
The idea to the day was that pupils could spend some time away from school, getting to be sociable whilst taking part in some physical activity and also excepting a challenge they had never experienced before.
A 7.5 km walking trail through the forest was followed by some adrenalin fuelled tree climbing on the Go Ape High Ropes Course. For many, this was a first go and encouraged pupils to tackle there fear of heights,
It was a brilliant day and we hope to be back very soon.
