JANUARY 28TH - 2021
The Norfolk School Games are continuing to support schools with the latest information available to provide children with engaging physical activities both at home and in school.
A series of virtual competitions have enabled pupils to continue to represent their schools. The shift towards taking part as individuals has enabled more pupils to be involved. Results have been submitted by teachers and leaderboards kept upto date at www.norfolkschoolgames.co.uk
As we headed back into lockdown, schools have been forwarded a variety of personal challenges and we are already seeing a good number of results coming through.
This term we have introduced a Panathelon competition, with elements suitable for primary, secondary and disability groups. It has been a challenge getting this event off the ground and we will make sure it happens once schools return - we hope in March.
You may have seen a copy of 'My Happiness Journal', an interactive workbook that enables pupils to recognise how they are feeling in these difficult times. The hope is that we can start to recognise what makes us feel happy/sad and how by understading this we can control our behaviours in a more positive way. We hope this will be a useful resource for schools esupecially during children's mental health week, feb 1-7th.
Below are some articles highlighting some activities/resources you may like to use in the meantime. The events calender on this page is now postponed but we will be keeping in touch with schools to ensure we continue to provide up to date information regarding physical activity and virtual competitions across the county.
Stay safe and keep in touch.
