BRECKLAND/NORWICH EAST SSP TAG RUGBY FESTIVAL
On Wednesday 9th November over 250 Y3/4/5/6 pupils from across 16 schools took part in a learn how to play festival at Wymondham Rugby Club.
Schools were encouraged to bring pupils who had little or no experience of competitive Tag Rugby.
During the event, schools would play matches against each other although the results were not recorded.
Sport Leaders from Thorpe St Andrew High School acted as referees for all matches and were encouraging pupils to understand the rules better.
Teachers and support staff were able to coach teams throughout matches and teach the skills needed to enjoy the games.
All in all it was a fantastic experience, played out in a really good atmosphere.
At the end of the event all schools were awarded a pennant for taking part and invited to further sessions at Wymondham Rigby Club.

On Wednesday 6th, Breckland SSP hosted a Mixed Tag Rugby Festival for Y3-6 as part of its School Games offering. The event was held at Wayland Academy and supported by an excellent group of Sports Leaders from the academy.
