WAYLAND ACADEMY ENJOY ANGLING COMPETITION
On Thuirsday 12th May, 13 pupils from Wayland Academy represented Breckland SSP at a cross partnership Angling event held at Barford Lakes.
Once bays were drawn, anglers had 3 hours to catch as many fish as possible, with the largest weight total winning.
With expert angling volunteers on hand to support pupils with local knowledge and tactics the fish were soon biting.
The Wayland boys managed to grap several of the zonal awards with a large haul of carp.
Thanks to Sarah at Barford Lakes for organising this event. Something for pupils who dont necessary participate in mainstream sports.

On Wednesday 6th, Breckland SSP hosted a Mixed Tag Rugby Festival for Y3-6 as part of its School Games offering. The event was held at Wayland Academy and supported by an excellent group of Sports Leaders from the academy.
