BRECKLAND SSP TAG RUGBY FESTIVAL
On Tuesday 22nd March, Breckland School Sports Partnership hosted its Tag Rugby Festival at the amazing Wymondham Rugby Club.
The event encourages schools to bring along pupils from Y3-6 who do not necessary play for the school sports teams and who might need some additional skills development.
During the morning, schools were placed into teams and played each other in a series of matches. Despite lots of tries being scored, results were not recorded as the purpose of the event was to encourage a deeper understanding of the game and plenty of enjoyment.
Staff were encouraged to support teams on the pitch and could coach throughout each match.
Thank you to the following schools who participated: Redcastle Family School, Rosecroft Primary, Attleborough Primary and Riddlesworth Hall School.
In total over 80 pupils played the game in a great spirit with outstanding individuals being awarded a Sportsmanship certificate for demonstrating the School Games Values.
Well done to everyone, it was great to be back together again, enjoying some interschool activity.

On Wednesday 6th, Breckland SSP hosted a Mixed Tag Rugby Festival for Y3-6 as part of its School Games offering. The event was held at Wayland Academy and supported by an excellent group of Sports Leaders from the academy.
