Partnership Cross Country Finals
Watton sports Centre played host to the Partnership Cross Country event for Years 3/4/5 and 6 on the 23rd Jan 2012.
The event was open to all runners who had taken part and finished within the top five of their cluster cross country events which ran between Nov 2011 and Jan 2012.
The day was a great success with just under 200 runners passing through the finish line by the end of the last race!
The children were competing for a place in the Breckland School Sports Partnership team who will competing at the County Finals on the 28th March at Easton College.
It was a lovley sunny day and the children put in 100% effort throughout the event.
At the end of the day personal excellence certificates were given to the top 10 boys and girls in each age group as they will go to represent Breckland at the County Finals in March.
We also awarded a Determination and Courage certificate to all the runers who even though they found the course very challenging they never gave up!
A big THANK YOU must go to Watton Sports Centre who gave up their facilities for free and opened the Gallery bar for the parents to get a hot drink!
